Every single night, man-eating demons prowl the land in this fictional world set in Taishō-era Japan in the early 20th century. When 13-year-old Tanjiro Kamado returns home one morning to discover that everyone in his family has been killed except for his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, his entire world is upended. Tanjiro embarks on a quest to train for the Demon Slayer Corps with the goal of finding a cure that would turn Nezuko back into a human and exacting revenge for their deaths. The plot of Demon Slayer centers on Kamado Tanjiro and his unusual sister Nezuko as they search for Kibutsuji Muzan, a demon, who can transform Nezuko back into a human.
